This is a super awesome talk from Gabe Newell that Tom pointed out.  It touches on a lot of different topics, from productivity to game economies to the very nature of corporations.  I highly recommend watching the whole video closely.

Among other things, this has emphasized the point that I need to play more games.  The bit about Na ‘Vi and Dendi making money via Valve selling virtual banners to team supporters is fascinating.  I had no idea anything like that is going on.
