Kingbreakers Space Marines (my chapter) against the Necron Horde of Warmaster Harmon, fielded by Chief Automaton Chauncey on this occasion. 1200pts of Marines, 1500 points of unholy machines, marines defending a hallowed fortress of the Imperium.
Space marines quickly stepped up and filled in defensive bulwarks around the fortress. Meanwhile, scouts Infiltrated out near enemy forces to scope out the field of battle and Terminators waited in low orbit, preparing to Deep Strike in when needed most. Sadly, those scouts were quickly ground to ash by the machine Immortals and many Terminators met their demise in the course of battle. Their efforts were not in vain though, as the Necron army was significantly delayed on its way to their objective. With space marines providing righteous covering fire in their support, few Necrons even made it near the fortress. With time running out, the few desperate automatons that did break into the castle grounds were hastily dispatched by Lord Azgilar, Emperors Champion, in a masterful display of the powers of the Black Sword.

Lessons
Need to beef up Terminators units, they need more firepower.
Still overeager to move units around, definitely need to be more patient and wait for units to come to me. This is especially true against more mobile units; once I move out, it's too easy for them to outflank me. Of course, this is even more true in a defensive scenario...
Moving missile launchers out into their own Devastator Squad seemed like a definite improvement. Although the unit was decimated fairly early, it was much more effective this way.
Deep Striking the Terminators down in front of the advancing hordes was good. The Termies got slaughtered due to lack of cover and exposure to almost the entire enemy army, but they did hold up them up significantly.
